News Release - Dry Creek Premium Grains  October 21, 2019

 

NORAG LLC announced the acquisition of the Dry Creek seed cleaning plant in Genoa, Colorado.

The plant is set up to clean locally grown millet, wheat, triticale and other grains for both domestic and export markets. NORAG will be making capital investments to improve facility efficiencies and capacities at Dry Creek to meet future customer requirements so we can better serve our Customers.  

Ed Owens, NORAG LLC, Colorado Regional Manager said that the plant will benefit our local producers by creating new markets for existing crops, along the potential to raise other specialty crops that are not currently grown in the area. World demand for white proso millet continues to grow and the Genoa, CO area is a perfect growing region for top quality millet. Millet has a variety of uses from bird and animal feed to human consumption in various countries.  NORAG's vast knowledge in organics, ancient grains, freight, supply chain and processing will come together to produce value to our Customers and our Community.

As consumer demand shifts towards more plant grown proteins and consumption of ancient grains, we feel the Dry Creek
plant is well positioned help connect eastern Colorado producers with the consumer.

News Release - Hereford, TX  April 15, 2019

 

NORAG Business Park Hereford, Texas is excited to announce the expansion of a new business line of providing fulfillment services at our new Distribution Center (DC) in Hereford, TX. NORAG’s new DC will provide fulfillment services to handle multiple value added tasks of warehousing, transloading, sorting across truck freight, rail transfer and high speed IT daily fulfillment. Palletized premium products are handled sorted and transloaded daily to assure our customers receive products in a timely manner.

News Release - Freight Logistics Omaha, NE   July 5, 2018

 

NORAG LLC is excited to announce its expansions into Omaha, NE.  NORAG LLC acquired M7 Logisitics, Inc and added two key freight traders to the new NORAG team in Omaha; Samatha Rhone and Ryan Ahart. M7 Logistics is freight services provider for the Midwest, specializing in organic commodity transportation but also handling dry bulk shipments. Justin Meyer, Vice President of NORAG's Trading Division, says Omaha is a natural fit for NORAG given its central location to the midwest freight markets and access to the high quality freight traders.  Mr. Meyer states that Samatha and Ryan bring experience and knowledge to the team and they will be valuable contributors day-one.

Dave Pace, CFO of NORAG, states that with these additions, NORAG is poised for additional growth. 

Chad Needham joins NORAG – NORAG is excited to add Chad Needham to the new NORAG team in Omaha. Mr Westrom states that “Chad is one of the premier freight traders in the country. What a great fit it is for us to add Chad to the team.”

NORAG LLC (Stilwell, Kansas) announced the acquisition of a river and truck terminal in Blair, NE. The Terminal is operational and NORAG is making capital investments to add additional capacity to convert the terminal into a multi-product Business Park.  Handling agricultural products such as grain, DDG's, fertillizers as well as salt, steel and various other industry sectors requiring specific knowledge and experience.  NORAG will be able to blend in various internal divisions to support Customers needs in Freight, warehousing, supply chain to create superior value to our Customers.


NORAG Business Park is conveniently located at 550 Marina Drive the edge of Blair at the Missouri River bridge on Highway 30, just 10
miles from I-29. The facility has the capacity to store and load or unload up to four barges on the Nebraska bank of the Missouri.

NORAG LLC, a Stilwell, Kansas, based company proudly announced the acquisition of a commercial grain elevator in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chouteau Elevator was acquired from Cargill Inc who operated the facility for many years after the elevator was included in the 1999 purchase of Continental Grain’s assets. The facility is located at 4801 NE Birmingham Road – conveniently accessible from both I-35 and I-435 in the Northeast loop of the city. In addition to easy truck access, the 1 million bushel capacity facility is served by the BNSF railroad and has direct access to all five Class 1 railroads that link Kansas City to the rest of North America – the BNSF, UP, NS, KCS, and CP.
